Title: Health & Social Care Lecturer

Location: Bolton College
Term: Temporary – expected to 3rd July 2026
Hours: 8 hours per week

Monday 10am - 3pm at Deane and Derby Community Learning Centre

Wednesday 1pm - 3pm Brownlow fold Community Learning Centre

Friday 10am -12pm Farnworth Library

Pay Rate: £30.00 – £32.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Social Care Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching across the community supporting their development in core health, social care, safeguarding, communication, and professional practice units.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, industry‑aligned sessions that build learner confidence, sector understanding, employability skills, and readiness for progression into further study, apprenticeships, or care sector employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons across Health & Social Care
  • Teach core units such as safeguarding, human development, communication, equality and diversity, and care values.
  • Provide constructive formative and summative feedback and track learner progress
  • Promote a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to tutorial support and pastoral development where required

Key Requirements

  • Level 3 or above Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Relevant Health & Social Care qualification (minimum Level 3)
  • Strong communication and classroom‑management skills
  • Experience delivering FE Health & Social Care qualifications (preferred but not essential)
